ESTIMATING AND BUDGETING
A clear client relationship starts with a clear proposal of services. We conduct at least one extensive site visit to listen to and identify your needs, and discuss project considerations and potential challenges. We also conduct follow-up site visits, as necessary. You’ll receive a clear, itemized, written proposal of services, which can be revised based on design and/or budget considerations. It is critical that each investment dollar spent be maximized to produce a high value building project.
PROJECT PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT
Correct staging, scheduling and sequencing are critical to a successful construction project. And along with these accountability is key. One of our core competencies is the ability to effectively and clearly communicate with tradespeople, architects, engineers, designers, and clients. Clear communication of goals and expectations on an ongoing basis provides the foundation for a forward-moving, team-oriented approach to construction. We achieve this effective communication through clear schedule documentation, regular meetings with the build team, well-planned materials and fixture ordering, and utilization of online resources.
* If you are not working with a designer or architect, we provide checklists for all items and design decisions that will need to be considered during the planning phases. We can direct you to trusted vendors where you will find excellent customer service for items such as cabinets, counters, appliances, and plumbing fixtures.
CONSTRUCTION SERVICES
Blue Heron Builders provides field labor and supervision for all phases of construction. Our in-house staff, carpenters, site foremen, and subcontractors work together closely to achieve the common goal of getting your project completed in a timely manner, with the highest quality product possible. Our attention to detail is unsurpassed.
REPORTING/ACCOUNTING
Blue Heron Builders takes great care with budget/proposal preparation prior to the start of construction. Our thorough pre-construction process enables us to minimize change orders and other unexpected costs after we begin. We choose our vendors and materials carefully so that we can control costs.
